Water glasses

I already have a favourite water glass from Laura Ashley but this one by illustrator/designer Hennie Haworth definitely rivals it.

Bicycles

Perusing pictures of vintage bikes for drawing. These were my favourites. I found them all here. I love their elegant arched spines and simple lines.

Then I came across the beauty above: Scrap Deluxe Ladies. I want to draw this one and ride it around town. My first case of bicycle love.

Dili

I love the mixture of textures on this'Dili' bag, especially the crocheted doilie.

Freefall

Probably my favourite print by AshleyG of Ashley G and Drew.

Alessi

A friend of mine bought a chrome Anna G bottle opener from Alessi in Selfridges today which inspired me to check out their website. They have some wonderful, whimsical sketches and scenes based on their products. A lot of their stuff is very sleek and chrome based, but if you're into Japanese cute they do that too.

Polaroids

Found this photo here . Finally decided to get a polaroid camera just as the company has confirmed it will stop selling film next year. I just love the fuzzy, immediate look of a polaroid. They look like living moments materialised.

Salivating

Somebody (you) should buy me these Oxfords from Worthwhile. I visitied this shop when my sister lived in Charleston, SC about three years ago and recently their business card turned up during a clear out. Their website testifies to all the goodness I remember. The necklace is by Arielle De Pinto. Her jewellery is all hand crocheted.

Wedding Bell Blues

Kcoline's wedding dresses, available on Etsy, are subtle, stylish and painfully cool. This is the kind of bride you want to be.

Roses

Topshop top.

Roses are a perennial trend, and I love the more shape and texture inspired offerings for this autumn. It's a refreshing change from the twee, folksy florals of the summer. I was looking at July's calendar picture, mesmerised by the intricate overlapping lines of the roses, and then saw this black top in Topshop with tightly wound, cotton ribbon rosettes and decided I have to try it out soon. I'll probably use ribbon yarn for a shabby take on a girly girl embellishment.Bag above is the

Esther Coombs

In an essay about Port Vila, New Hebrides Anais Nin described the craftmanship evident in collections of everyday objects from various Oceanic islands. She wrote; 'Every object made for use is decorated, embelished, enhanced.' I want to fill my kitchen with these gorgeous hand painted cups and plates from
