These beautiful planters are from jayson home and garden, based in Chicago. I love the structure of these planters, especially the tall switchgrass and perfectly reclining ferns. So much love for them!
Some of these are product photographs for work. I'm just getting started with K's digital SLR and have so much to learn...

we just had a glut of fresh blackberries and apples so I had to try this recipe by lena corwin which she so kindly shared here. Mine was nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as this, but it was delicious, even if those apples we picked were a little tough-skinned.
this sweet little birdie sits on my desk at work. i love the bubble votives we're selling. and the packing room had some great colours for such a dull day.
Galways has a certain smell. It might be damp, but a nice cozy damp.
This abandoned boat filled with water in the rain: A lovely postcard.: One of our favourite places in Galway is Charlie Byrne's Bookshop where I found this amazing little book: Mother Goose in Hieroglyphics.
I also picked up an old copy of an Irish visual culture magazine called Circa:
We had some old sprouting potatoes so i thought i'd do some good old-fashioned printing. It was so much fun, but old potatoes do smell a bit. I'm a sucker for hand-stamped fabric, especially washed-out, watery prints. The textured surface of a potato prints a perfectly uneven pattern.
Today I was inspired to get out my watercolours and do some patterns. I've never been very confident with paints so I just messed around doing some of the patterns I like to draw. It worked out quite well...
By my favourite textile designer, naomi ito. Maybe the Japanese to English translation isn't perfect but it sounds quite dreamy: "NAOMI ITO also spread to the world with visions of where it gently. Is enveloped in colors like red chan-friendly in the world ...."
I considered buying some of this: lamb's pride bulky in ruby red. get knitted is great because it sells every yarn you can think of and is based in the uk.
Knitting, braiding and beading take up most of my time. I also doodle; try to sew; collect things and put them into order without ultimately using them for anything; read kid's books; garden; drink coffee; paint my nails; read other blogs; change my career plans daily.
